I'm wondering how many decibles would a 10(maybe more) cube ft ish' fiberglass box, ported 20"x4" and 51.5" long (tuned@16hz-20hz), with this 18" Avalanche speaker powered with a 1000 RMS Watt amp would produce?

Somewhere between 100db and 180db.

500 watts / 800 watts / 800+ watts RMS....so, since they dont really post a max....

1000 watts is pushing it, I wouldn't recommend push over 1000 watts RMS...I'm probaly gonna end up setting my gains a bit lower.

I'll end up doing a 10-12 cubic ft ported box, tuned really low. (15-16hz)

Well my 15" SX needs to have the tinsel leads fixed. And I was gunna run that one and another in my Reg. Cab truck. If i can fit a 6.5 cu/ft box in there. and port it. Those things are just a bit cheaper...hmmm. Ive heard alot of goods things about them, and the company.

This is sad, I can't upgrade from my 12" 187s to a 15" Avalanche because the 15 won't take as much power. =\

Are you SURE they aren't underrated by a ratio of 2 or 3? :hopeful:

Well I took out my middle seat originally I have alot of space right there. And im gunna build a basic box going all the way up inbetween til it reaches the window. Only problem is shipping my SX out. and getting it fixed is around $100. Then ill Have to order another one thats another $300. Plus a 1000D is around $250.

Then a Dual amp kit which isnt to bad only $80.

I cant work that much lately because my dad has cancer and he flies to a cancer institute in Ok. Every week. I like to hang out with him as much as i can so funding is a bit low. But by Mid July around Football season. I will finally have it.

Hopefully my friend wont **** with my gain again.

It seems like the do underrate their speakers, but I couldnt say by how much.

You can always turn ur gains down though.
