Finally got my RE8 hooked-up!

No comparison. The RL-i8 dominates the RE8 in output and SQ. Of course it is a bit over double the price.

But I really think it does put out that much because when I set the gains all the way, The sub is like slamming already. But I gotta quit that already. I have to know that I might be clipping the amp but its hard to tell because the sub sounds good without distortion at the highest volume.

I've seen that amp at walmart. It's RMS output is about 75 watts.

The only reason that speaker is moving so much is you are clipping the signal, and that amp is pushing more dirty power. My legacy did the same darn thing

Well comming for my experience of RE8s, I remember them thumping...but dont remember mine movincg THAT muh, i gave them from 100-130 watts each. How much are you giving yours?
Defferent "no no" on the wiring kit, walmart ~$20.

What kind of box is it in? Sealed...ported? Specs??

I think I know why the wiring is so much $... The shipping. probably 75% of the cost of the wires is the shipping. Because when I paid for my Resonant Engineering RE8 I had to pay almost double to ship it to Hawaii ($96 shipped to my local post office).

The sub is in a 1cu.ft. Sealed enclosure
