what do you mean by "uses for processing" ? Any example?

I was very vague, what DACs, Burr Brown, Wolfson, etc...

Cool. Also, I auditioned those B&Ws back in November and believe it or not I chose the Paradigm Mini Monitors over those. But we all have different ears.

I don't know about the other series of B&W's, but the Signature Diamond setup is pure ear *** and a half.

My brother got a DVD on the development of the 800 series. Un-freaking-believable. (He works for Analog Devices and worked with B&W to interface one of their remotes with the Blackfin)

External processing ftw ... computer case is a noisey place. (Rhyme ftl?)

Anyone considering the X-FI it is considered far weaker than the Audigy 2. If you are looking for an external option (USB) consider the Audigy 2 NX. If you are looking for a "full" non-laptop option consider the Audigy 4 - or any of the Audigy's above 2 and in that range. X-Fi is kind of their gay line supposedly

The only reason I still own a creative is because of the stranglehold they have on gaming industry (EAX)

My X-Fi xtremegamer card works wonderfully. Hi-Fi, it is not, but it still sounds very good. For games, it's untouchable for the price.

x2... I don't know why all the hate about the X-fi with sound quality, I think it sounds **** fine... tons better then my asus onboard sound card and my old soundblaster live soundcard...

It's not like there IS lot of choices out there... All I can think of that would compete with the x-fi would be asus' soundcard that seems really neat.
