Well, first of all, I'd like to thank this forum for helping me out building up the system. All the equipment I got are in my sig.
What I have to say;
About the B&W 685:
It sounds really really fine, but best of all is that it sounds even better when I turn up the volume nob. The B&W 685 we're a bit shy when I first got them, but after a week or two, they began to shine and scream, sometime I don't even need to turn on the subs... they offer some fairly good enough bass for bookshelf, acceptable down to 40hz, and it extend pretty well, I was surprised when I played Nardo Ranks - Bad in a sound clash (Punany Riddim) when the bass come it sounded so good and full without the subs, also, the mid-bass is stunning, snappy and healthy. The clarity of these bookshelves are also something to consider. They are really "open", clear. When I play some trance, I can hear all the instrument loud but yet controlled. Also, slow songs, when a voice screaming, like Alicia keys, sounds so powerful and good. They really are a sweet piece of equipment, only con is that at a certain frequency, it sounds annoying, but I think thats because of the amplifier... as I didn't realized that sound with the Rega Brio amplifier.
About the Soundblaster X-fi Elite:
I got the Soundblaster X-fi elite sound card 2 days ago, and wow, it sounds even better, seems like all the speakers are lot more efficient and lot healthier, the mid-bass are lot more snappier and controlled. The 24-bit crystalizer really makes the music sound lot sweeter and more enjoyable to listen.
About the 2 TC-10OEM:
Simply some great subwoofer with massive excursion. Movies are simply much much more enjoyable with them, they are deep, detailed, and controlled. The movie Transformer was THE movie that really got me caught up, lot of deep deep bass, rumbles and makes you feel your in the movie. When the slow motion part comes near the end of the movie, it was one hell of a feeling. Only thing is that one of the sub makes a clacking sound when pushed too much, but it only does that sometimes so it ain't a biggy...
About the Crown Xti amplifier:
For the money, they really are powerful for a simple home setup. Cons: They are Fragile, they have random things happening something you would never understand why... lol, sometime it doesn't turn on, sometimes it doesn't get any signal. and sometimes the left channel don't work, where you have to open up the amplifier and fastened a ribbon cable, happened to me twice so far, but all of these things doesn't happen all the time... it's only some random moments.... but overall, they really are some nice amplifier for the money. The system architect really makes it wonderful.
About the Samsung 245BW 24":
Well, dunno much about screens but I got this monitor, and the picture is really clear, big, and the pivot design is VERY great, you can turn it left to right 360degres and up and down about 6-8"...
Well that's about it... I'll get some pics soon
