THE WHOLE THING!!!
Well, since I finally decided to get off my *** and use up the kicker wire and ring terminals i've been saving for this job, I have finished upgrading my big 3 with KICKER WIRE instead of the crappy welding cable stuff.

This stuff is so spectacularly awesome to work with, I don't know why I didn't change it out sooner.

Also, I got a new battery charger so I don't have to haul my big *** one around. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

that voltage is with the charger and car off. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/naughty.gif.94359f346c0f1259df8038d60b41863e.gif

Here's the voltage with the car on.

Once again, I recommend this kicker wire to ANYONE. By far the most flexible (even with the high strand count) wire I've ever used. I've just about finished off BOTH 50 foot rolls of kicker 1/0 I had. A ton of wire for a little *** truck!

Yay to finally getting things done that I planned on doing months ago.

can i ask why you have so many negative grounds? do you run the grounds from the amp to the negative terminal?
Yessum.

I run my amps negative terminals directly to the front battery (and ultimately the alternator) instead of using a crappy chassis or body ground. My truck has really thin and crusty sheet metal, and the frame rail is just as bad, so I decided to avoid all the voltage loss issues I would face using either of those and decided to just ground right to the battery.

well from your voltage reading the results speak for themselves //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif gj!

but wouldent the issue of "having the shortest ground possible" come into play? or your using multiple runs to avoid that? sorry, im just probably going to steal your idea now //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/veryhappy.gif.fec4fed33b4a1279cf10bdd45a039dae.gif

The shortest ground isn't always the best ground. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif

tommy u need buss bars... that many wires on one post is not effecient
Buss bars aren't needed in this install. I'm only running one 2500d (soon to be one zx2500). I could probably get by with running one + and one -, but I had the wire and said screw it. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

You're funny looking in general.
