Anyone else been through this? If you didn't see it, my thread was deleted because Squeak9798 thinks that what he says as the rules supersede what the admin has told me personally. It was about a 12 RL-P that I bought where the basket was fubar because of poor shipping technique. Time frame I'm looking at?

i would guess it takes a long *** time..you should have added some bubble wrap...or at least told fedex there was some bubble wrap...so they cant say it was due to packing..

on each side of the sub there is not even an inch of space available in the box for packing materials. Like I said early, I dont deal with fedex much....but UPS would say that you should have at least 2" on each side. Therefore they can easily fok(the seller if he coughs up the $) you if they choose

as for time.... //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crazy.gif.c13912c32de98515d3142759a824dae7.gif You'll be waiting //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crap.gif.7f4dd41e3e9b23fbd170a1ee6f65cecc.gif

I mean, I don't really want the money as much as the speaker. Reason being that it was like next to brand new, and unless they cough up the price of a new one, it won't be enough to buy a replacement. So if they can get me another one, then I'm game. The woman on the phone was hilarious though.

"FedEx, how may I help you"

........

.........

........

"And what is the name of the object that you are making the claim on?"

"It's a SoundSplinter RL-P 12""

" A wha?"

.....

...

"Does that hurt? I don't know if we cover dangerous objects"

Typical.

Pv what all did you have to give them for them to complete the claim and come pick the item up? And did you do it online?

I did it online and they returned a letter saying it wasnt complete.

DId they call you to schedule a pickup or you call them?

And did you take pics of the box or anything on the box?

i bought some SE's from cappy72 a while back. One showed up with a seized cone...all the way down. They took the sub and cut HIM a check. He paid me, but apparently you are supposed to get your money back from the seller, then they deal with reimbursing the seller for the damaged item.

UPS i believe was the shipper.

G/L My subs weren't double boxed, but also didn't have any newspaper. Packing peanuts and lots of bubble wrap.
