Fighting a Citation...

I got pulled over last friday for some stupid shit. I got 2 citations in the mail, one for passing a car on the right and the other for going the wrong way on a one way street.

I'm going to plead guilty for the first. ($75.00) but the wrong way is for 115 and the road isnt clearly marked. Its a one way street ~20yds long and there is only 1 'do not enter' sign and 2 one way signs and you cant even see the signs from the road i turned from...the do not enter sign is even blocked by a telephone pole.

I'm thinking about fighting it, but I dont know what would happen if I plead not guilty and they still find me guilty. I dont want to end up paying more for it.

So would they fine me more if I plead not guilty but they still find me guilty?

oh yeah, would it clearly say on the citation if I got points on my license?

I dont know about it if will show the points or not, but my buddy got 4 pts on his DL for going down a wrong way street. Butttttttttttt, it was a bypass heading the wrong way onto a freeway, lol! well if you are going to fight it,go back to the spot and take pics of where you turned from stating that you cant see the signs and take pics of the places you claim are not clearly marked. good luck. and plea no contest, instead of guilty. You may pay more if the judge feels like it,or if you convince him differant he may just waive it. good luck either way.

If you honestly think you have a case for the 1 way one.. go back to that street and take pictures of the signs, showing how they are not clearly marked or visible.

Often times courts will throw stuff like this out, and order new signs to be put up/trees/limbs cleared away....
