I am no expert with SQ BY ANY means but the D9 (newer model of the TDX) has better SQ than my IDMAX did. It gets louder too!!! That's my 1 cent!

I've heard plenty of W7 setups, one thing I like about the sub is that it still gets loud with low power, great sounding woofer also. I bought my TDX over 2 years ago now, I got it for a good price locally because it was the first TDX they would have sold (they wanted me to be the first one to have it, and since I was in college, they knew I would show it off to my buddies //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif ). I was very impressed with the woofer. To this day I never thought about changing it out for something else. Ran the woofer off of a Diamond D5 600.1, a D5 1200.1, a D7401 and now a JL 1000/1. Handled the power from all the amps, always ran it in a sealed 1.5 cubic foot box (before displacement), and I have never been disappointed. If for some reason there was a problem with Diamond (lets say they went out of business), then my next woofer would be a W7, but as of right now, I have no desire to switch to anything "better", what I have is great.

No offense, but to say the w7 cannot be matched in SQ is kinda biased seeing as SQ is completely opinionated and if that were true wouldnt the w7 win EVERY comp(relatively speaking)? I know install blah blah but you get my point.

I personally think the mag D2 rapes a w7,I mean tears out it's heart,throws it on the ground,pisses on it,then shoves it down it's throat and craps on it's w7 face.

owning both an Si D2 and Jl w7.. i was will have to disagree...not only does the w7 sounds alot cleaner, it get alot louder and doesnt rip the surround...

as far XXX goes, friend of mine has 2 XXX ported around 34 Hz... MMatts amp... it is louder than my 2 13 w7 but only at certain frequencies sounded really good as well.. but ill still take my w7 over the XXX and the D2
