I think i have a short

I really need yall help....Ok i dont know if its my amp that killed both my HU or it was a bad ground that runs to the deck and or if it was the wire that runs to the deck acc and batt wire that runs from Wherever it comes from..........If its a bad ground and batt and acc wire can i run my deck straight from the battery but fuse the wires? I know its not the speaker wires because they all are running from the second amp perfectly.Except for when i hooked the RCA's to the amp and messed with the setting then it blew the decks.........

Ok i been hooking car audio for OVer 5yrs........and today i hooked up my amp i wired everything correct even went over everything.I plug up my pioneer deck set all my settings for my highs etc that was playing fine........Then i switch on the subwoofer control that is on the deck to subwoofer and then i started to tune the amp then my deck compeletly burnt then the second deck the SUBWOOFER rca output ground burnt BUT THIS TIME I DID NOT GET ANY SOUND FROM THE SUBWOOFERS before it burnt ORless it burnt when i put everything on??????????so could this be a bad amp out of the bunch?it is a memphis 1000....OR could it be wherever the ground or ACC/and batt running to the HU has a shortage somewhere?
