No offense, but to say the w7 cannot be matched in SQ is kinda biased seeing as SQ is completely opinionated and if that were true wouldnt the w7 win EVERY comp(relatively speaking)? I know install blah blah but you get my point.

I personally think the mag D2 rapes a w7,I mean tears out it's heart,throws it on the ground,pisses on it,then shoves it down it's throat and craps on it's w7 face.

How about you go to my W7-15A comparison. Personally, I could aruge that my sub sounds better than the W7. I just said theres this distinct sound quality from the W7, it almost sounds like a tweeter trying to produce bass and doing it very well if you know what I mean....there sub just tries to hit every note instead of jsut moving air. I like the way the A sounds better, but theres no getting past that sound of the W7.

The W7 is a hell of a woofer, maybe the nest all alround SPL. For the price, not worth it. Price aside, its hard to beat it

I have that issue, and while that magazine tries not to be biased that sub has been designed to have that type of response. And as we all know here you can take almost any sub and the box can make or break it.

I have personal experience with both, very very extensive, and i feel the diamond is a better sub. However, it is more prone to sound like crap if not in a really really good box. you probably heard one in a shitty box. just my 2 cents

I believe Eric Holdaway, the reviewer, said, "the 12W6v2 is the best sounding sub I have reviewed for CA&E." He had reviewed a 10W7 in a previous issue.

better in what? i've heard a 10w7 and a 12w7 and have heard a 10 tdx. I like the sound of the w7's than the tdx. And if we are talking about displacement comparisons, the tdx is no match in output.

well there you go, youre proving its all subjective, i was just giving my input. I hear different set ups with both these subs every day, and MY PERSONAL OPINION is that i like the TDX better. Who cares what they look like on paper, isnt the listener the ultimate decider in the end

price aside, there isnt that much between these woofers. as i always say - they are all super-woofers if today, any differences will be shown up by enclusore, installation, car, amplifier etc.

its not as if we're comparing, say a K series to a W7, then the answer would be quite different.
