Fiberglass question

So in the next couple weeks I will be designing and building my first fiberglass enclosure. My problem is that I am making a ported enclosure and I am trying to find out how to do the port. So does it matter which way the port is facing compared to the sub? Is it as long as the port length is correct I'm ok right?

what you need to find out, is how much cubic footage you will be dealing with. then figure out what size enclosure you are shooting for. measure this with some cardboard templates and some packing foam. then try to make the glassed enclosure a few liters larger than your target volume so you have some margin of error.

when its all said and done, measure the internal volume, and then knowing that its going to be just a little too big, go buy some foam (like the insulation crap from the hardware store - the SOLID kind like you find when you buy a TV) and glue it to the inside of the enclosure until you take up the extra space //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

the port will be included in the mould before you measure. make sure you get it right tho :p
