Fiberglass H/U Mount

Well I got a new H/U and id like to put a little fiberglass in my car instead of those plastic scosche install kits that walmart sells this time. Im not sure on how I want it to look, I know i dont want it to stick out very far, and I dont want it to look like its got a ton of space around it. I was thinking maybe glass the unit in near the top of the center hole, recessed so that it doesnt stick out. I dont know what to do for underneath it though if I go with that option. Any suggestions on how I could make this look nice would be appreciated. I also have to be able to remove the unit from the trim piece, so customizing a new piece just for the H/U to go into is not going to work.

This is the trim piece that it has to go in, the top is the airconditioner vents, the bottom is the A/C controls, the H/U goes in the middle.

the pioneer trim leaves some gaps and IMO doesnt look too great in the prefab ones, im not interested in the color part, i just want to get some ideas on what to make it look like

edit: something like that ^^ but i dont want the console to look "empty" with just the H/U there

My sugguestion would be to do like the pic above, and put something on each side so it won't look "empty". Useless dials, amp remote relay switches, analyzer LEDS, just something.

Maybe pretty it up to hold coins. =p
