Fiberglass as the bottom of an enclosure

Hey Guys and Gals

Can you use fiberglass to make the floor of your enclosure? This would be much thinner than 3/4 MDF thus giving you more volume.

The reason I am asking is I have a 2006 Ford F150 supercrew. I have designed an enclosure were I would fiberglass the floor under the back seats. This would be the floor of my enclosure.

Any suggestions or comments would be great.

Yep sure can..hell there are people that have walled off their cargo area and fiberglassed the entire trunk to make it an enclosure...

How many layers should I do?

Multiple layers, guessing depending on subs and power 3-4 layers?

zueslicious used to have a ride like this, unsure on his he still does.. thinking it was an eclipse maybe? was a hatchback.. look into it for ideas.
