well thats bullshit if its not covered. I somewhere around 700 RMS in a 1.1 cubed sealed enclosure as recomended by FI. I even let it break in for about a week before really turning it up.

If they say its not covered any recomendations for a good 12'' replacement? I was looking into the SSA Icon a little???

If it's a defect, it's covered. If it's abuse..it isn't.

open coils are not a warranty issue. that is from clipping the amp. i know most companies that build custom subs do not warrranty open coils.

You have no idea whether or not the open coil was caused by misuse or by a manufacturing defect. The lead could have easily been glued at an improper angle or position, and with the movement of the cone caused metal fatigue leading to a broken tinsel.

Not saying this is the case, but simply a possibility (One of MANY)
