BTL 18s, due to the fact if you blow an LMS-5400, you will have a fun time trying to find a new titanium top assembly.

And like I said before, ssaudio did 150s based solely on that is was in a hatch car. Hatch cars are very easy to get loud so dont base judgement on his subs/car.

^^ your j/k right?..........ok.......the SI mag will have more SPL than the MT but the MT will have better SQ....................................................................................................................................................................................................

lol, yes im kidding. i was saying that the poster already seems to know what each woofer is designed to do, but then wants us to tell him what he likes

I will give you guys the real facts on what is in my car with the LMS woofers.

Net box volume is between 9 and 9.5 cub. ft depending on where my tuning is

my vehicle peaks on 35 and 43 (I have had three 6" PSP ports at both of these tunings and 35hz is actually slightly louder but sounds more peaky then 43. this is for obvous reasons (the higher port volume decreased the box airspace making my response curve worse. both tuning frequencies on my two memphis 16-mcd4kws does 150s.

35hz avg a 150.7 and 43hz avg was around 150.2

musically these are the best sound drivers I have ever owned. I didn't pay full price or the web price when I bought them either (I received a 20 percent accomidation from thilo stompler at TC because I put their name on my car). I have not messed with BTLS enough to tell you if they are better but one thing I can say is the materials used on the BTLS are stronger. Suppos. they have fixed this with audio pulse but I will not know until I get them (they are replacing mine with the new ones since my shop became a dealer) the two that I have handle 8KWs like its nothing (they don't heat up at all). So I talked to Jake fuller about switching to four sundown SAZ3000Ds since they do like 3200 at 10Volts. I will probably switch to the sundowns after world finals not unless I get a badass deal on two more memphis 4kws which is not likely (I paid 600 each for 8 of these new on termpro and only have my two left. In some of my videos the box is tuned to 30hz (the roof flex vid and the taylor michigan one)

30hz was best for ground pounding and still put up close to a 150 legal (car sealed also) but 35 was best for SPL. Overall I really like the woofers but it is unfortunate the price increase was so high. partially this is because of the companies history (bob carver, sunfire and stuff like that which was mostly state of the art home audio) it seems that tc is trying to accomplish state of the art car audio. I guess this means mostly only rich snobs will be coming into HD audio to buy their products...I didn't think it would sell with these prices but I already got a call from a woman who wants their woofers and component drivers in her MERC. E class. We were able to get an open account with them for now just to see how things sell....I guess only time will tell.

stop bringing up old threads douche

How can you debate LMS vs Fi?? LMS is far superior for linear BL.. Plus you get the removable top assembly! Now LMS vs XBL2 is a fist fight. Thilo says that XBL2 doesn't work properly unless it's exactly centered. Would love to see the BL curves. Both technologies do the same job though.
