I'm trying to decide on new woofers. I'm curios on if getting 2 FI BTL 18" or 1 RE XXX 18" is better?I'm wanting something that is going to give good SPL but will be used daily. However I would like to keep some sq. I'm sorry if this is a repost I did a light search but didn't find anything. Any input would be appreciated I know on woofers It's all what sounds good to you, but I have no way of hearing each in person. Thanks for the opinions.

Are you gonna be using 6,000 watts or 2,000 watts?

If you are running 18"s it is going to be loud regardless.

1 18 = big box(7-8 cubes)

2 18's = BIGGER box (~ 15 cubes)

As far as amps I'm probably going to go with either one or two 2000w U.S. amps.(depending on how many subs). As far as space goes I'm in a super cab truck but I'm willing to wall it if I have to so room isnt a big concern. And why is there such a severe price diffrence between the subs? I can get two BTL 18s BNIB for 1000. Where as a RE XXX 18" is 1500. Any ideas?

The price wards me off from 2 18" XXX is how two BNIB is 3000 and 2 BNIB BTL is 1000. Definantly a big diffrence. Yes these prices are from websites the FI from their website, and the xxx from woofersetc.com

Ya I really don't plan on competing and if I do it will only be locally and around here (Okalhoma City area) I don't think there is that many comps. So I might just go with my initial idea of the xxx. I just was looking around and saw the price of the BTLs and I have heard decent things about them from this website, but to me it sounds like I can go with either set up and be happy with it.

And dont forget, when it comes time to sell it, be sure to list it on craigslist for double what we can buy it for new.

I have had both brands. They are basically the same.
