Q is more of an SQ driver. The Q and BL are closer to each other. Then the SSD is below them I think.

I loved my Q. But the Q (at least mine) only hit a very limited range of notes.

Depends upon installation. (i.e. box size, port size/dimensions, power used)

i actually like the SSDs of all the FI subs, seems a very daily oriented sub for the price, it's hard to beat.

How much power will you have? I'd use that to help decide. I've only heard one SSD and run a Q in the GF's car. Both are solid subs. Q is getting around 1k of power, 15" in 3.2cubes @ 32Hz and it sounds good and gets respectably loud. It does seem bottom heavy at times which would be good for rap, but the GF listens to metal...

ssd's will do nice on the meter given they are put in a nice box as stated above. Both subs will get almost just as loud as one another but many factors come into play when deciding who will win. If you have 800-900w, go with the ssd. 1k+ go with the Q. The ssd's are great budget subs IMO.
