fi ssd vs kicker l7??

which should i get??? 209 shipped for the fi! like 215 shipped for the l7! both are gonna be 15's. l7 says it has 1,000 rms, fi says it does 800 rms but im pretty sure it could handle 1kw daily, shouldn't it! gonna order tonight just need some opinions and it is the ssd sub!! thanks

This isnt going to come as much of a surprise to you.. but I'm going to give the expected response of..

If you are more concerned with SPL, go kicker, SQ, go Fi

Although I will say that I have never really thought L7s sounded inherently bad (Im digging myself a big hole backing kicker sq potential up all night)

Fi ssd....quality product, SQ is pretty good, and it will still get pretty loud.....plus everyone has L7s(not saying they are bad or anything)

i've never dealt with either one. i am sorta leading towards fi never heard a bad thing about fi i own a cvr right now so i don't want to really go with kicker again but i still don't know!

I will say that yes, I think that the SSD would be fairly comparable to the L7 in spl and can sound as good or better (and usually will)

L7 SHOULD crush an SSD. heck I have my 12L7 going of 2000wrms all day and it takes it with no burnout. Sounds good with a well-built box.

There's many other subs that are good in that price range/power range though. Look around, see what is in the classifieds section. You might find something even better than the L7 or ssd

I had an L7 and it got loud as hell. If you want loudness, go with the L7.
