Fi SSD voice coil ?

Then you have the D2 subwoofer.

No.

You are measuring the DCR of the coils with the DMM, not the nominal impedance.

Ok, thanks. I checked out that site. So now what? I dont even have my component amp hooked up yet and my voltage is dipping down to 12.6 at the amp with music and my lights are dimming with just one 10 sealed run by a PG Ti600.2 I ran the same amp (@ 4ohms) in my old truck with a smaller battery/alt. with no problems.

So now what?
So what now? Let me tell you what now. I'm gonna call a couple of hard-pipe-hittin' niggas to go to work on the homes here with a pair o' pliers and a blow torch. You hear me talking hillbilly boy? I aint through wit chu! Not by a damn sight! I'm gonna get medieval on your ***!

You might want to investigate into the "Big 3".

You might have a mechanic examine your electrical system to verify it's performing properly.

You also should verify you have the best possible ground for the amplifier.

Also verify you have the gain/boost/etc set properly so you aren't clipping the amplifier hard.

Lots o' things you can do spending very little money. It won't heal the world and might not entirely cure your problem, but it'll be a good start to verifying your heading down the right path.

Depends on the frequency, your enclosure, temperature of the voice coil, etc etc.

Impedance isn't a fixed value. It will fluctuate with all of the variables above and then some. The subwoofer itself will present a load, on average over it's bandwidth, of 4ohm. At resonance it could be 30ohm or more (or less). After it's heated up with loads of power it's impedance across the board will increase some. The enclosure will also alter how the impedance "acts".

Lots of fun stuff //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

But the simply answer that you were probably looking for is "Yes".
