Well saying ur sub can take 5k daily and needing 5k daily to get loud is a diff story

Op i will say that i can vouch for lots of subs ..the dd3500 series hdc3s and 4s and tantric hdds(my fav so far) dont need a ton of power to get loud quick ..helll i dont even give my hdds rated and i barely gave my hdc4s rated and they are violent

any 4 inch coil is going to take more power to get loud, the fi sp4 is not the only one that does this.

the following posts vvvv are overly specific, as a rule of thumb 4 inch coils will require more power to reach the same spl than a smaller coil due to the inherent added weight (exceptions at high power levels of course)

unless there's some sort of efficiency gained due to a different motor design or softparts i dont see how it would ever be incorrect to think a 4 inch coil will not be as loud as a 3 inch or 2.5 inch coil on the same power

Some are alot worse than others ..my hdc4s got stupid loud on rated power which is 2k

Not all 4in need a ton of power. I know the DD 99 didn't.

I'm sure it's not the only one just the one I know didn't. It got louder the more you fed it but it didn't need 5k to get nasty

cone area is king as long as you have the room. if you're running 4 of them on 2 zero.7's (dunno what they actually put out tbh) I think you'd be good imo just dont hard clip

just saw they put out around 6k at .8, with rise (if you dont wire down) you'll get about 4k out of each amp so 2k each sub which is about perfect
