fi sp4?

I was looking for a 2k+ sub and I don't know why I never bothered looking into fi. It's priced a lot better than a lot of other 2.5k subs. Is there reason behind that? Or are they just competitively priced?

When I was in South Florida at a well known reconing guys shop he had nothing good to say about the SP4s. I was thinking about running them before.

What about Soundqubed HDC4s?

when you add in shipping, then you see that they are around the same price as other 2.5k subs

give or take a few dollars. They are thoroughly impressive subs once you get them

Say the sp4 and hdc4 are both in their adequate enclosures, should there be a big difference from one sub to another?

you're going to need at least 2k clamped to really make that 4 inch coil happy imo.

Id say frequency considering they were catching on fire left and right there for a while..ive personally seen 2 go up in flames

Few years they had a bad tinsel lead problem..id say they fixed it by now but it steered alot of ppl away at the time

you're going to need at least 2k clamped to really make that 4 inch coil happy imo.

not even. You need a solid 3.5k clamped

Sp4's require power and alot of it. Got a friend with a Saz 4500 wired at .5 rising up to 1.2 on two sp4s in a 2.5:1 ratio 4th order wall, and they literally laugh at that power

One was on rated power and one was on a dc3.5k ..i wouldnt say overrated .they are monsters..they just had a bad tinsel lead problem..and i dont mean just fry and let out a littke smoke i mean full on fire in the trunk

Whatever money you save on the sub you have to spend in more power.

Yes they need alot to get moving and get loud ..they arent a sub known for getting loud on little power
