FI SP4 15 power handling.

I have a sp4 15 in a 3.5 cu ported box in a Mitsubishi eclipse. Wondering how much power this sub can handle daily. I'm wanting to put around 4k rms to it. Thinking a sundown saz3500 at .5 ohm or a DC audio 3.5k. Maybe a ct 4000.1 heard some horror stories about them tho. I had a ct3000.1 and never had a problem with it. Maybe a crescendo amp even. Whichever I find the right deal on. But is 4k rms daily safe on this sub? Can it handle more than that? Or should I lower it some? Really wanting to push this sub hard and I plan on building a 5 cu ft box for it soon also. Eventually getting another one and walling off my eclipse. I've already removed the rear seat and carpet to hit the box its in.

So a sundown saz3500 would b a little over kill at .5 ohm right? Maybe just get a ct3000.1? It's still gonna b pushing around 3500-3700 at .5 cuz its rated off 12.8 volt

I'd have no qualms about the saz @.5 in 3.5cu. That's on the lower end of recommended volume. It's a pretty beefy 4" coil

Ok cool so I could possibly even use a bigger amp? Atomic 5k? Why does everyone hate ct sounds so much I've seen some very serious systems with their 7k amps and I've personally used a ct3000.1 on 4 T1's at .5 ohm no problems at all. Is it just the 4k that has issues?

I'll look for some ampere 3800 amp too. What do those go for? I wanna buy a amp used cuz I'm not looking to spend more than 500-700 and all these amps new are 1000+ lol. Theirs a sundown saz-3500 on Craig's list I'm looking at pretty hard right now.....
