Fi Question BL or SSD??

I have never used these before and am looking into some in the near future. Here are my options so far, what im think about...

2 15" BL's in 7cf@32hz off 1400watts each...

2 15" SSD in 6cf@32hz off 1400watts the pair...

I know they can handle more, but im wanting to use my NINe.1 either 1 amp per BL if I purchase another. Or trying to run the SSD's of the single NINe.1 I have now. Im not a neewb, just never used Fi before. Opinions please on this...

These subs are 2 totally different animals. The SSD is more of a daily, somewhat SQ oriented sub. The BL on the other hand is much more of an SPL sub with shades of SQL. If you want something in between these 2, go with the Q.

Let me ask now? I know the SSD is rated at 800watts, im sure it can take more. How will they sound off the NINe.1, will they move enough? Probaly anywhere from 700-800watts each...

I had a pair of 12" RE SE's, compare to those if you would? THANKS

The nine.1 will be a great amp for the ssd's. Yes, that will get them moving.

Others? I really wanna keep one amp setup. im just wondering if the 1400watts will get the pair 15" SSD's loud. I hate audio decisions...

You won't hit 150s with 2 15" SSDs and a eD nine.1. You might get into the lower 140s, if you have a good electrical/battery set up. But I'm sure that will be plenty loud for you. Get the 2 SSD 15s. Did you have 2 RE SE 12s off the eD nine.1? Either way, the 15s will be louder than the 12s off the same power, so it will be an upgrade loudness-wise. Just make sure you build a quality box and you'll be fine.

ya that would do them good. but why not go 2 15" q's in 8 cubes with 2 nine 1's

I would LIKE to keep it one amp, but dont mind going 2 amps. If ima go with a 2 amp setup ima go ahead and get 2 15" BL's.

I also just remembered I have a Orion 2100HCCA, im almost sure that will push 2 15" BL's...

Its rated at 1600watts@1ohm, but very underrated...

Instead of BL's I would go Q's with the BP power option. The Q's would probably be better ground pounder candidates.
