if you are getting them that low it is because they have no warranty that is authorized ocs is the only authorized website for warranty. i do them at 330 with the real 2 yr factory warranty. there are a ton of threads on this forum about them as well.

as much as i respect DJ i have to agree dude. the aq2200 is a sweet amp but the dsc2000.1 is stronger sexier cheaper and way cleaner imo.

I see. They are made in Germany according to the box. Must just be another company saying the MSRP is $1,099 but selling them wholesale for $200. Makes people feel good that they are getting a deal when they really are not.

the msrp is $ 1000 the lower prices are not authorized sellers thats why they are so cheap. they are wholesale bought and resold for a minimal profit in huge bulk . regardless of what their website says their is no warranty they may say 1 yr so that right their tells you it is hokey the factory has a 2 yr warranty not 1 !!!

i never push less than 25% over the speaker or subs rated rms. it is called headroom. after box rise you wont see all the useable rms power anyway.

the discus 2k does 2200w at 1ohm. good clean cheap power. its my fav current amp.

they DO work at .5 daily, with an extra battery right next to them.

they do not work at high voltage, so if you plan to use higher voltage in the future, look elsewhere.

I'm planning a system and I'm looking at the Fi series as they seem to be loved by just about everyone. I'm finding seemingly great deals on the MB Quart Discus DSC2000.1D amps (70% off - is this just a discontinued model?). But the question is, the 2 Fi's 1 ohm DVC wired appropriately will give me 1 ohm to which the Discus will provide 2,000W RMS. The Q15's are rated at 1,000W RMS. Is there any danger in running subs this close to their rated limit?

wow, you're a bigger idiot than I thought. The OP had a typo that I pointed it out. So he changed it to dsc200.1d, originally he had it put as 1000.1. If you actually saw when i quoted him originally you would look less like an idiot. But whatever, think what you wanna think. If it makes you feel better then why not?
