And break in is definitely not a myth, guys!
The spider material when brand new is not as compliant as the same driver at say, 10 hours of play. New drivers are stiffer, and for this reason often don't perform as per spec in the datasheet since those measurements are made after a period of time.
It's be suggested that you go easy on the drivers till they are broken in, wether or not this is correct, I don't know. Because the suspension is stiffer it seem like you wouldn't want to blast them at competition levels to avoid putting unnecessary stress on the already stiff suspension components. Break in is real, but I don't know that a driver is more susceptible to damage during that period or not.
