I am thinking about buying a 15 inch Fi Q. Do you think that there are any better subs than this for the price that are 2ohm and sound good in a sealed box.

What's Ohm? I see you can select Dual 1 or 2 on the Ficaraudio website but I have no idea what it is or what it means.

And what about this BP Power? Is that worth the extra $40? What does it mean/do?

I would say we would need a little more info first, as I was sarcastic before. But the Q is pretty nice.

Which ohm load your amp is stable to will answer your question on which coil configuration you want to get.

The BP option increases the overall power handling of the sub. There are detailed despcriptions of what each option does on Fi's web site.

SSA ICon, or Soundsplinter RLP 15 are worth a look in same price range

Ascendant Audio Havoc 15 is a mean looking sub as well, They're $20 more than a bp'd Q and are supposed to have a stronger motor. The company is run by the same group of guys as well.

If you were to port your type R's like they are meant to be, and run the correct amount of power to them. The R's would be louder.

But sealed, w/o the right power, the R's could easily be quieter than the 15 Q.

The Q would have much more sq though.

q's are great subs.

Really accurate and with the right box will do pretty much anything you want.

Of course there's better but you get what you pay for.
