FI-Q or IDQv3?

I'm looking to replace my old 10's with a single 12" sub. I listen to rock/metal with alot of double bass. I'm looking for SQ rather than SPL. The sub will be powerd by a Kicker zx1000.1. Unsure on what kind of box to buy too. Either a sealer or ported. What sub should I go for? Pluses and minuses of each. Thx!

if you looking for SQ over SPL then the IDQv3 would likely be the better bet but i 750 watts seems to be the RMS rating for this woofer. I'm partial to sealed enclosures but if you looking for SQ in a ported box, i'd tune it real low.

SI Mag v2 or v3 if u can find one, awesome SQ and they still get pretty loud too. Also look into Mach 5 IXLs.

Lol, thx. I must've skipped right over em. Should I worry about my amp overpowering it? Could step up to a 15 i guess as long as the SQ is still top notch.
