Fi Q and CVX

Between two 15" CVXs or FI Q. Do you think that off the same power, 1000 watts each, both in a ported box in the same vehicle, (tahoe), which do you think could get louder? I know it depends on the install but they're basically going in the same setup. Which do you think would get louder and sound better doing it? I think it would probably be the Q but I havent heard either.

do you plan on keeping this next setup for a long time? if not I'd go with the Q because of their resell-ability. Its hard to move CVXs and if you so happen to dislike them, you'd probably lose on them big time

Have a friend that has two 12 cvx's at 1200 watts (and was popping when turning up all the way). and my one Fi Q 18 was louder at 1600 rms. (not popping lol) 27mm of xmax is great //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif its for sale also http://www.caraudio.com/forum/showthread.php?t=280712
Thanks this helps a lot since i am talking about 2 of the same size woofers, off the same amount of power in the same enclousure/vehicle. And the fact that youre friend was clipping them. This helps a lot:confused:

Ummmm you realize xmax is no where near the xmech...... I had some audiobahn aw1500's that had 15mm of xmax and I could move it 40mm+ each way and no pop. So having 27mm of xmax wasn't the reason the sub doesn't pop. Has to do with (bare with me speaker basics a bit rusty) how far the back of the coil rest from top of the internal part of the pole piece

I have the Q and have heard a couple CVX installs and I would choose the CVX's as that will be my next sub. I keep putting off getting a new sub, don't even know why, lol!

I have had nothing but problems with my Fi Q would be the main reason why I would pick the cvx's over it. The Q sounded really good while it lasted, well it still works, just sounds like shit as the surround ripped...................with a grill on it, lol! Crazy I know as it wasn't even getting but 800rms to it.
