The "beasty" nature of the sub has nothing to do with how low it will play. Its Fs, Vas and Q combined with the volume and tuning of the box determine that.

The BL is not a competition sub. It is meant to be a tough daily driver that can take a beating. The Q is meant to sound good and can get semi-loud but it cannot take the power or the abuse of the BL.

Stick with the Q if you're going for daily. 2.25ft^3 at 30hz will be nice.

ok, cool! this help is very informative thanks alot guys... so 2.2^3.0 @ 30hz is the way to go? i heard that 32hz was a good port tune... i was planning to get the sub fully loaded, what optiones should i go for? thanks!!!!
