Fi Q 12" or Kicker L7 12"

I'm looking at getting a sound system for my truck, and I have everything picked out. I was looking through the forums and saw something about the Fi Q. So I decided to see if they had a website and check the sub out. So now i'm having trouble choosing for which sub I wanna get. I'll most likely be happy with either, but since I have no exp with either sub, and most of you guys do, what would you recommend for me?

I listen to pretty much anything. But about 50/50 of the time i'm listening to heavy stuff and rap.

I'll be powering either of the sub with the Kicker ZX750.1.

Well what are you looking for. SPL SQL? The Q would be more of a SQL subwoofer and the L7 would be SPL. I would go with the Q IMO, I've heard the L7's aren't very musical from other peeps.

the kicker definitely gets loud. i can only feed mine about 500 watts rms right now because of my electrical system but it gets loud. if you define what kind of heavy music you listen to it would be easier. the kicker sounds great with rap

I licked my CVX Kicker 12" much more than my FI Q and I would take my Premier 250spl 10's over either any day of the week.

Heavy music such as KoRn, Metallica. Stuff along those lines, plus Trivium, Lamb Of God. That kinda stuff.

As another post, I can live with either SPL or SQL. I'd be happy with either.

L7s or CVXs will do alot better off that wattage than the Q would... W/ around 750 watts id look into RE SEs or FI SSDs. Same basic price range, if anything a lil bit cheaper.

I decided to go with the Fi SSD 12". So should I go with the recommended box size on their site which is 1.8-2.5 cuft @ 33Hz? I also picked out the Flatwind Coil.

Good choice, that's a great sounding sub and will get plenty loud
