i stated aboue that the baskets on FI are the same as TC 1000 7 9 but i've never herd or seen either in person or herd either.

all you can get in shops around here is rockford, JL, alpine and memphis.

First of all, you have not seen them in shops because they only deal direct to the customers. TC makes woofers for Eclipse, and supplies parts for a number of different companies (I believe SoundSplinter uses their motors). The breakdown on Fi is a bit more complicated. Scott Atwell, the owner, was one of the founders or RE Audio (currently owned by US Amps if you didn't know already). He moved on to create Fi Audio and designs his own subs. He also designed for RE (obviously) and is currently designing for Ascendant Audio as well. No TC knock-offs here.

As stated before, The TC woofers you listed are on a completely different level than the Fi BTL or BL. Both are built very well and could be a good choice for you. However, The BTL and BL are meant for SPL duty, while the TC woofers are more SQ-oriented.

So, before we can answer your question, what are your goals for the system (ie do you want more SQ or SPL) and what is your budget?

tc1000's are not meant to take more than 600 rms and certainly not tuned to 38hz.

yes i've seen tons of woofers with thay same basket, but i'm just stating what i've herd.
i'm looking at DD 2500 and 3500

TC 1000 and 2000 but the 1000 has more Xmax

and FI bl or btl

bit the FI's are the most costly out all the above

i know someone thats sponsered by DD and he can get me a great deal.

but i've never herd TC or FI

To the original poster, you might want to attend some local car audio events and see what real people are using if you want some good insight. Otherwise you'll be on the road to buying subs over and over till you find what you like.

My opionion, FI is a new and upcoming company that so far has been pleasing alot of people. Only thing that does make me wonder is the lower line subs seem to be all over the sites for sale. Same as TC sounds.

DD subs I know of ALOT of people VERY happy with them.

Now as for FI BTL subs those are a different story as it seems. I know of several people running them and have been very pleased with them.

For the money....I am assuming your looking money wise cause you are comparing a DD3500 to the FI BTL.......I would say go BTL.

Now 9500/9900 and BTL............
