Fi or DD or ??

Been looking at either fi Q or dd 3512

opinions welcomed, it isnt a spl vehicle nor is it a pure sq vehicle its somewherre in between. I am open to recommendations

If your not into anything specific, then I don't see why you need US to help YOU decide on what sub to get. Both are very efficient subs and will both do its job to please you.

I though would go with Fi, but hey thats just me.

and me i am a dd fan. i have two 3500 10's that easily do over a 150 in my talon. good luck on which ever you choose

you will get mixed reviews in this thread...fa realz...it all depends on who it is...i personally like dd ...fi is good 2..it all depends in what your lookin for...sq...fi q or dd 9100series...spl...9500 or fi btl...and so forth

well I wanted pros and cons of each company and which company would provide me with the best all around driver.

I am more interested in sounding good than getting loud, but I also want to be able to on occasion throw up a decent number for when someone talks trash.

I am not that familiar with car audio, I had originally had my heart set on the dd 3512 but all the fi bandwagoneers have me questioning myself.

I just want a solid driver that once installed properlly I'm not going to have to worry about.

which company has the best build quality? the lowest failure rates when useing rated rms power?

I'm not a extreme audiophile I don't need want or have the funds to change subs every 6 months.

I hope this helps you all help me make a informed decision.

the sounding that your looking for heavily depends on the enclosure you will be using for the driver. Both companies makes excellent products, you can't go wrong with either woofers. And yes, if your comparing fi subwoofers with other companies, more than likely everyone on this forum will suggest FI, hence the bandwagoners. dd makes outstanding products, but their customer service has been in a steady decline. If you had problems with your woofer, FI will usually take care of you. Great folks at FI.

i'd go two DD2510's if your wanting a cross between SPL and SQ for the money they'd make you more than happy.....

yeah...um fi qs are amazing in sound...and fi is > than dd in customer service...but if u get a dd with the carbon dust cap and composite cone...that thing will be sturdy like a rock...yet again..dd is much more expensive than fi

not really that much more expensive. I was quoted 356 per 3512 from local DD dealer, the fiq's are only 100 bucks cheape. I will gladly spend the 100 dollars more orr less per driver to get the best one.

So the jist im getting is personal choice?

dd's advertise being able to take 200 more watts I like the way DD looks, I love the way Fi looks, its simpe and elegent, while DD is cutting edge with carbon fiber and composites.

I think im probably going to go with the fi's

whats the lead time from cash in hand to driver at my door? on average?

the 3515 is loud but with all the extras should run u over 500$ easy...i think the q is a good choice...as for the time..im not sure

$350 per 3515, from an authorized dealer? I dont believe it. If its true, grab that deal and run.
