I have a 2006 Chevy silverado crew cab and I'm doing a cut through box from the bed to the cab, by problem is deciding witch subs I want. I've had my eye on the BTL 15 because there rated at 2000 watts rms and I'm running 2 ma audio 4400 apms witch are rated for 4400 watts mono and I plan on having 1 amp per sub. But recently a local stereo shop had told me that the Re SX would be a better fit. I know the BTL is primarily an spl sub but I've also heard it do pretty good on regular music and ill probably be doing a mixture of both daily and spl. I realize that the shop is trying to get the extra sale on the subs vs just building a box but could he be right?

It's not going to make a difference in your case. The MA amps you have will not do more than 2000rms on a 12v setup. To be a little more realistic, you'll probably only see 1000-1500 average out of one of these amps. Trust me, I've owned every version of these MA amps. the 4000d does much better than the 802sx but is still no where near 4k unless you run 18v to it.
