FI BL vs AQ HDC3

Im not anal about SQ. long as i can show it off and people dont just say "that sounds shitty!"

Given the numerous opinions here, when i get the money (sell my L7s) i will trust the majority and go with the AQ HDC3 18". I cant wait. When it comes to car audio, im like a kid in a candy store.

Dont necessarily agree with that, but whatever works.

HDC3 series are made in China and Assembeled here. If you get the aluminum coils then you get american softparts. Fi has the whole build assembly here all American. The HDC3 has a good motor design that allows it to be built cheap and will still be very strong. The have similar performance. I would go with the Fi if i had money. Have an upper hand IMO by using all american parts. Both companies have great customer service.

You would think a guy that has built SEVERAL boxes for all kinds of subs would kinda know his shit. You would also think a guy that is giving both his 15s 3k each would know what an AQ sub can do.

Since you know every fuking thing, what would you suggest?

He has a few build logs on here for boxes he's made. He threw up a temp wall that did 149 something. If TommyK's meter means anything, thats where he got the score. I and many others have personally seen and heard his setup. The shit is loud, but I'm most impressed with the clarity of the front stage. 4 1500 watt Sundowns on 2 HDC3 15s.

so. building boxes means you know your shit on this subject? as for what i would suggest? actually the hd3's however, its absolutly sickening watching him spew the same old aq bs in EVERY thread.

I wouldnt call Fi a shitty company, they have been in the buisness for a while and make a good product. But i personally would buy American if it was the same as the Chinese even if the American cost more. I like keeping our money in our country.

I was thinking either Hifonics BXI 2000 watt rms... I know ... i know. Also not the best amp, but i am very limited on funding. Also looking at the AQ2200. Just depends on $$$$.

also due to funding i might jut keep the MA Audio. Depends on what sub i get and how it sounds. I know there is always better out there.... so no need to beat a dead horse.
