Fi 15" vs 2xAlpine 10in

Right now I have two Alpine Type-R 10in subs on an Alpine 1100w amp. I am interested in upgrading my system.

I really like the stats of the Fi-SP4 15in but im worried that with only 1100w through it, it would be quieter than my current type-Rs. Is that true?

Get the SP4 and then work towards a 2.5k; Itll get lower than the type-rs off the bat

Itll also allow you to break it in while you await the 2.4k without fear of blowing it up

Sorry for the long time for a reply.

It appears that the SP4 is out of my budget for a while. So I'm thinking about going with a Fi Q 12 with roughly 1600-1800w. I just cant find a good amp, that is in that wattage range. Id be willing to get somewhere in the 2000w range, its just that I dont think the Q could handle 500w over its RMS. Any opinions?

With amp gains set correctly it should handle 2k.
