Few vids of my MT's

lOl, you are all fricken hilarious, so what I run 16V... Actually it sits at around 18.1V fully charged . I am running a XXX-6500, 2ohms on 16+v. I have a Batcap 8400, plus two additional 16V 2200's, but these are no truck batteries. Matter of fact they aren't even connected to my 300A alt, not yet anyways I use the BatCap charger every two to three days depending on my mood. Polo.. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif
BTW, those aren't truck batteries. They are group 31 interstates. For the price, they are kickass batteries. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

And yes, I agree that he should have gotten an alternator a long time ago. I think he is working on that.

so u blast ur system for 3 days without charging batts?

Actually, I can and the final voltage is never below 15.8 give or take a 1/2 volt. I'm not talking non-stop bumping here but normal to work, from work and aroud the neighborhood type of thing. Not to mention that you really don't listen to it full tilt all the time due to the headaches, lOl. I have been bumping since before there were dedicated car subs, we use to take house speaker and throw them in the backseat, was a great time. I have built up a tolerance for loud music but even so I can't listen to bass music all the time. Honestly with the 6500 on 2ohm I can run it longer probably all the way down to 9v which would give me a great deal of time BUT again there is a huge noticeable power gain with these amps above 14v, 16 to 18v woohoo you can feel it for sure... //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif Polo..

They had "automotive" subwoofers in the 1980's. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/fyi.gif.9f1f679348da7204ce960cfc74bca8e0.gif

You're only 35, so you've been driving since what 1988? They've made car speakers since before then. You were just being ghetto by throwing house speakers in your car.

And it would be impossible for you to drain your 16v batteries all the way down to 9v. They would be completely dead LONG before that.

I will be 36 in nov and I been driving since 87. They had a few subs but not really mainstream. Actually I started learning car audio in 84 when pyramid EQ were hot, same for Jensen triaxial 6x9's, lol. Almost every sub out at that time was home entertainment based and if there were dedicated car subs, you couldn't afford it anyways. Most of people at that erra were ghetto, me I was just young. I remember when GCI, BMX use to play house music on fri and sat nights matter of fact I have quite a bit coverted to MP3's, good sh!t, Joints were a buck //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif Polo..

Oh I'm not saying it was a big business or as easily available as it is now, but companies have been making car audio since the early 1980's, kicker being one of those companies.

House speakers were just cheaper and readily available compared to car audio. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

Ya but technically they weren't subs they were full range were like roady boxes with a pair of paper cone woofers, a mid and a horn tweeter with them waffle speaker covers, I forgot about that sh!t, wasn't real common not back then. I like your score with the single 10, real impressive to say the least. Polo..

I think your missing the point...... you said it was an unfair advantage because he had some extra batteries and 2 15's in a blazer, yet your rollin' around with a 16v electrical system and a XX6500. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/confused.gif.e820e0216602db4765798ac39d28caa9.gif

that was a prior installation.. next is 3 3515s walled off in 12 cubes with 150in^2 of port tuned to 36....3 1750s..... just something to enjoy/impress people whit... call me what you like when you install everything yourself do over 150 at the head rest and it sounds good on screw to techno people respect you... as apposed to people who are fortunate enough to get what they want brag about it and have "pros" install it and get CRUSHED.... i'm thinking about trading my truck in though..... i was getting some cancellation... my head rest score and dash score where nearly identical...
I hear ya, I got a 150 anywhere you put the mic sealed/unsealed on music. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/suave.gif.858fc102f7646e678ee8af7e1fbc41d1.gif

I'm louder than you all with one 10", so STFU. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

Ya but I am running an SQL sub, in a single baffled box, with a trunked vehicle playing throught the seats. Not to mention the amp is rated for its max at 1ohm, I am running at 2 ohms but I do have 425 sqft of dynamat extreme (may need more when my 5200 gets here //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/eek.gif.771b7a90cf45cabdc554ff1121c21c4a.gif) .

Funny, any review that people put out about these amps are usually on 12V systems and with the increased amperage the voltage will drop so low so you get people who say, ya there crap. Honestly it isn't the best amp I have owned, my Kicker SX 1250's are so much nicer but that isn't a fair comparison, and I do have four of them, still, //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif . Now with a good electrical system these amps are power *****s, you can just feel/hear the difference. Matter of fact you really notice a difference bettween 16-18V but at those levels my poor SSX won't last long. Now you can add all the power you want to those Kickers and they will only put out there birth sheeted power. I never really liked kicker but here amps are great, great build quality to. BTW running your ZX's at a lower ohmage will only give you a slight increase and without and active cooling system will run significantly hotter. Polo. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif
