Female Apple lightning cable to USB

Hey everyone,

I'm installing a Pioneer AVHX head unit and I have to use the VGA to Lightning connectors,

that leaves me with a 2' long lightning cable.

 

I could run an extension cable, then I'd just always have that cable hanging there, I wanted to see if I could find a female lightning to normal USB, so I can then just put a pannel mount USB on my dash, but I can't find it.

Is there other ways to do this?

Use the VGA to usb cable and then your own lightning cable - you can get a 6", 3', or 6' one that's apple certified and will sync and charge properly. Monoprice sells pretty affordable ones.

I'm not sure I can do that,

here is what I need to acomplish.

I'm just trying to think of a a way to have just a loose lightning cable hanging there.

If I understand you right, you just don't want the pigtail that is connecting to the iPhone. Everything else you can hide somewhere - correct?

What if you got a lightning dock and built it into the interior somewhere? Or reverse engineered the dock to get to the female connector?
