MB Quarts are high end speakers, they are overpriced IMO and there are better makers out there, but RSD's aren't even aiming for the same market as MB.

I was just saying that it would not be worth replacing the Quarts with RSD's. If you are planning on upgrading to 6 1/2", I would do a search and look in the hundreds of threads on 6 1/2" components. 6 1/2 Quarts will be nice, but there is probably better out there for the money.

well I have rear fill and wanna keep it so if I switched to another brand Id wanna switch both sets which Im not willing to fork that money out yet. I was just looking at the RSDs because two sets of those would cost the same as one set of mb quarts

well which set would outperform the premiums in sq and loudness on the amp I have. also a price.

well the Mlk 165 would definetly blow those away but does retail for $1000, the Hsk go for about $450

well not a lot really...Im pretty much happy with what I have. I was just curious about PG rsd's because everyone seems to like them and I could have 2 sets for 180ish. Ive decided though to just upgrade my front 5 1/4s to 6.5s for about 190ish

it's because for around $100 you can get some speakers that sound real good. of course they don't sound as good as high end comps but not many of us can afford the mlk's and hsk's like you suggested
