Ok so I have mb quart premiums 5 1/4s on a mm75.4

yes I have rear fill. So a lot of people tend to get boners for PG rsd's and seeing as I can get two sets of 5 1/4s for about $180 shipped I was wondering how people rate them against the mb quarts. Would it be a downgrade or upgrade? Amp will stay the same. I like loud and clean with somewhat harsh tweeter.

Just a quick thought....have you ever thought about cutting the holes larger or using a spacer ring so you could run the 6.5's?

well I made custom panels for the back for 5 1/4s and just made 5 1/4 brackets for the front. The back would need to stay 5 1/4s because I dont feel like redoing the fiberglass but its no biggie to make a new bracket for 6 1/2s in the front. So I could go 6 1/2 in the front and 5 1/4 in the back, I was just saying 5 1/4 all around for a simple swap.

I would definitely go with 6.5's in the front if you could. I totally understand if you don't want to redo that back panel, I bet that was hell to make. I would buy a pair of the 5 1/4's for the rear and do 6.5's in the front. haha Im thinking about starting a thread dedicated to all pictures I gather from use of it...it would def be a forum boner! I see that your in alabama, ever go to scrapin? I was the first to have a stripper pole there and will be there this year.

I may end up doing that but Ill spend around $150ish for the mb quart 6 1/2s so I wanted to see how the PGs compared.

Well where do I start lol....it is by far one of the funnest shows Ive been to. It happens around the end of june at the Mississippi Gulf Coast Colliseum. It is a saturday and sunday event with sound competitions, car show, burn out contests, hydrolic contests, glow off, bikini contest, and much more... that saturday night there is the bikini contest, which is hosted at the drag strip in long beach gulfport area. There is a 18 wheeler flat bed on the other side of a fence which is the stage. I usually park front row with an *** load of people in my truck actin a fool. Girls get ***** on the pole, dj calls out to us, girls on stage get ***** and taunt the audience..its great! Sunday comes more events take place, people hang out and cook, then later that evening the judging takes place.

This is one year I had my truck out there...there is a glimpse of it at the bikini contest at 4:30

RSD's would be a downgrade from the Quarts. Also you say you like a "harsh tweeter", thats wierd, but the Quarts tweet will be brighter than the RSD's which I imagine you would like more.

Yea Im not so great with termonology at times but I guess I mean I like bright tweeters. So it will be a down grade if I buy RSDs?
