Ok here's the story. A friend i know bought an avic-n1 from (major electronics store but we'll keep it nameless for legal purposes) and set up a date for the install. However they let him hold onto the avic-n1 untill the said install date. When the day came he brought the unit and left it in his rear hatch area and told the install guys that it was there. Upon picking up his car the guys told him the box was in his back seat with all the paperwork...etc. Then he gets home and opens his hatch to wire up an inverter to his distro block for his playstation and saw the same avic-n1 box that he'd left there. In disbelief he opens up his car and looks in the backseat again. sure enough dumbazz (store that i can't mention) forgot that he told him it was back there and must have also forgot that he took the unit with him and gave him another one. so, afraid that they would realize the mistake or find out somehow he's just held onto it for the past six months. I've been bugging the ever living crap out of him to sell it to me and he wouldn't. So about a month ago i bought a kenwood xxv-05v. Now, today he asks me if I know anyone that would want to buy it since he could use the money. Needless to say i was pissed. Then i ask how much he wants and he said for me $800 but for anyone else $1200. So, i'm pretty sure i'm gonna buy it off him and resell it and make some cash. I'm asking $1300Shipped for a BNIB Pioneer Avic-N1. I'm going to try to get him to bring it into work tomorrow so i can get some pics up. thanks guys,

Let him believe they cant be had for less than 1300. Who cares. Ebay is not a good judge of 'going rates' , seeing as how people will pay MORE THAN RETAIL for stuff..because they are morons.

And this people have lots of feeback. I won't even buy the unit from you for $800 becasue if best can't find the unit, then they have serial number of it and reported it stolen. So either way it's still sotlen.

Your right...and all these morons are on CA Forums buying stuff. All I'm saying is this guy needs to be freaking reasonable. Companies dont give out free units, I'm sorry that you think differently.

why don't you stroke my shaft there pal. first of all. its not stolen. the serial number on the his reciept matches the unit i'm trying to sell. The unit thats in his suv is the one that doesn't match the reciept. So if anything the one in his car is the "unpaid for" unit.

secondly, my friend knows what i'm trying to sell it for. He kind of feels bad that i went and bought another in-dash unit when i was trying to buy his extra avic for the past 6 months. he said that he'd be perfectly happy as long as i could get him $800. He said he could careless how much i sell it for. He just wants some extra paper in his wallet.

Thanks snova i appreciate it. i really don't care if you clean it up, as i have nothing to hide. It just shows how ignorant some people are. Also i can supply PLENTY of references. probably the only one on this board though is noah (ngsm13 or something like that) Sold him some 1/0 around christmas time, which i also shipped to him before i ever collected the money as noah can attest to. i can also supply references to vwvortex and ebay as well as whatever personal info needed to make the transaction more comfortable. anyway, my buddy has the rest of the week off from work but promised to bring in the unit to work on sunday. so i'll have a crapload of pics sunday night. i'm also going to be putting it on egay sunday as well.
