Sold Feeler: 13w7

I'm thinking about just keeping my Avalanches until Spring since the weather outside hasn't gotten nice enough to do any uninstall/re-install work, so I may be selling the 13w7 I got from ebay. There are two "problems" with the 13w7. The first one is a small tear (about 1") in the surround that should not effect the performance at all, and you can silicon it if you want. The second problem is that it's missing the clamp ring, which can be bought from any JL dealer for $20-25. Not really interested in anything for trade unless you have some high-end components.

I fail to see the humor. I'm not looking for a $2500 receiver, just something mid-line, around the Denon 3805 level....not the lower end of the spectrum like the Sony model listed.

What condition? It needs a $25 clamp ring and has an easily fixable surround tear that doesn't effect performance at all.

Revrider - I'm willing to add cash if the trade necessitates that, and most receivers in the range I'm looking for are $300-600, the same range as a 13w7. But thanks for your opinion.

And for anyone worried about the surround tear, here's a quote from Scottie Johnson about it:

just grab a 9V battery or a 12v cordless drill batter and touch the connections... if the coils are good the sub will move in or out. Also, who cares about the tear... it will have absolutely no effect on the spl our sq of the sub whatsoever. Just run across the tear with a light coat of ca glue or silicone to keep it from tearing further. Awesome buy!

Its not the condition of the sub, the problem is that you said how much you paid for it:nono: . If you want something valued at more than the item you are wanting to trade dont say how much you paid for it:uhoh: .

I don't mind if someone knows what I paid for it. I posted about it in the sub section a few weeks ago and I know I got a great deal taking a chance on whether it was blown or not. As I said, just because I paid $158 for it does not make the value of it $158. If nobody wants to pay what it's worth, I'll simply keep it until Spring.

I would be interested, but unsure if I could get the trim ring. If you get a new ring, I think that you will have a better shot of selling it.
