FedEx/UPS really slack lately

It seems lately (past year or so) Fed Ex and UPS have become kind of slack in their deliveries. Up until last year i would ALWAYS recieve my package between 8-12 in the morning. Lastely they have always came really late like 5-6pm. Idk if maybe they switched up the routes or something, but this sucks making me wait staring at the "on fedex vehicle for delivery" //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/mad.gif.c18f003ab0ef8a0d9c27ca78d77a6392.gif

well maybe, just maybe, more prople are using their services and they have alot of deliveries. your not always going to get your package at a certain time. your not special. they have other places to go.

yeah I read they are chaning the way they deliver

they are trying to make as many right hand turns as possible.

something about waiting at a light to turn left eats up alot of time

I have noticed that they are actually faster.

I just got a package today from ...Ohio ,im in texas. The package shipped on tuesday.

thats pretty fast.

i remember a couple of years ago I had to order Friday to be sure I got it the next friday or following monday if I ordered from the north-ish

LMAO. I thought this thread was about them not delivering stuff but instead it's just about you getting your package a few hours later IN THE SAME DAY!! LOL, too funny. Be lucky your getting your package and it's not delayed or stolen or something, lol.

businesses usually 9-5pm thats why they ask you when you ship, residence or business...businesses have priority because of some of their hours.....

Your gay,

but yea the thing about the right hand turns is true, they have a program that calculates routes for them so they can avoid left hand turns at all cost. They did a study and figured out each left turn causes an extra minute, think off all the fedex trucks thats alot time. They are saving a ton of money with it, and the guy who invented the program is now ballin, i read an article, he sold it for millions

Umm first off delivery drivers have ALWAYS avoided left hand turns... they (and we currently) are not slobbering dolts who can't figure out that crossing traffic takes extra time.... and if the UPS drivers are so stupid that they need a program to tell them how to not make left hand turns then I suppose they are that stupid...

If your delivery time has switched the route is being run differently... I changed how my route is run during peak and haven't switched back. It's designed to get the bulk of the businesses off first but I do integrate residentials along the way...

You are probably the type who asks drivers "What is it".... only to get the obvious response "it's a brown box"....

UPS just plain sucks balls. Last thing I was supposed to get through them ended up missing, which means some punk package handler wanted some subs and he took them. Only carrier I've never had a problem with is FedEx. I'll never ship with another company unless absolutely necessary. It doesn't hurt that they're usually the cheapest too.

My roommate works at UPS and says he'll never ship with them either. That should tell you something

Fedex ground drivers are contractors... so if the package comes up missing they pay for it... basically that takes care of theft....

I suppose they just keep a close eye on the loaders though it wouldn't be hard to steal things...

That, and I've never had a package damaged or late, nor have I had trouble with tracking. I can't say the same about UPS, USPS, or DHL
