What Dreams May Come

This flick and Patch Adams (which was based on a true story) came out around the same general timeframe. Both got slammed (no pun intended to the quoted member) horribly by the critics and to this day I do not understand why as I personally think both were definately notable films.

While What Dreams May Come was a bit of a shocker considering the movie begins with the various deaths of the whole freggin family and then goes from there it was still excellently written and well executed.

Dreams ended on a high note.

Most of us like comedies as well...sometimes we like to laugh I guess.

But laughing is probably overrated in your book...right?

no but nice assumption. Most of the movies listed are funny, but i wouldn't rate them as my favorite. I do like humor, just absurd or black comedy. Some of my favorite comedy directors would be lik Coen brothers, john waters, todd Solondz. Maybe most people just think they are sick and not funny at all.
