Favorite headphones for Music/gaming/monitoring etc.?

This is a question that can have a million answers...

I own about 20 pairs of high end headphones ranging from shitty little awesome AKG's to Stax SR-007. I also Love my Sennheiser HD-650. I like them better than my HD-700.

My everyday portable set consists of a Fiio E17 Headphone Amplifier coupled to a set of Bowers & Wilkins P5's playing .flac files. Extremely accurate and the Fiio bass can be turned up to make them slam for the basshead.

BTW - Sennheiser IE8's are my favorite In Ear Phones...

Superlux HD668b...#12 headphone out of all the headphones reviewed on Head-Fi.org. The more I listen to them, look at them, even just put them on my head, the more I love them. However, I wouldn't say the same had I not purchased them with different earpads. Don't care for the stock ones.

i LOVE my Audio Technica ATH-M50 headphones. not expensive at all, but they sound like they should be. especially when hooked up to an amp

For amplification, I use my Harman Kardon AVR55. It was my first headphone amp, and somehow I managed to get lucky because it really has an outstanding headphone section. It has PLENTY of power, and doesn't sound bad when you crank the bass. It's also warm, which I prefer. I only listen to these at home, so I don't mind it not being portable.

I also have a Pop Pulse DAC, which helped a little bit. It cost more than the amp and headphones separately, which is kind of odd when I really think about it lol.

My next headphones will be a pair of AudioTechnica ATH-M50's, which have already been mentioned a couple times.

Iv used the cheaper Skullcandy's for a few years. I love them personally. They won me over with their warrenty. I had a pair and something messed up in the jack so one of them quit working, and youd have to play with the jack to make both work. Long story short. You fill out a paper about whats up with them, pay .88 cents to ship them there and in a week or two, you have a brand new pair setting in your mailbox! (as long as it was a defect from wear/the factorys mistake ect)

If you break them, you mail them what is left of the pair and they give you 50% off whatever you want. Shoot, they even emailed me, after giving me a free pair, with a 50% off coupon. You cant beat service like that nowadays. Just my .02 on things...

Yeah, but that doesn't mean that they sound good. What's a warranty if it's on a pile of crap?

Try a pair of Grado's, Audiotechnica ATH-M50's, or Superlux HD668b's and you won't be saying that anymore lol
