fastest uve driven?

first off you have absolutely NO IDEA what i was talking about. second, by NO MEANS do i think the V8 is the best engine ESP their inefficiency. Indy Race cars run off something like a risiculously modded 1.2 or 1.5 Liter engine. sho keep your comments to yourself. Also, i assumed esp since i stated, that SMARTER people would have understood that a meant 80's stock junkers that ppl claimed were goin 140-160---SORRY SMART GUY
Maybe you know stereo, but keep your ideas on cars to yourself //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/sick.gif.b1847c8dabbfeeddbcf1a78052249e10.gif
actually IRL cars use a 3.5 liter V* that make approx. 675 hp. either a chevy, honda, or toyota.

anyways, what kinda car you have? i know that they can be modded to all hell, including civics and the rest, but your average stock 80's junker just cant handle that speed. sorry for disregarding the elite cars of those classes. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/toast.gif.bc0657bf54b9ee653b6438524461341e.gif
Dodge SRT-4 //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif It's a real little beast. Scary as hell in the snow. They added an LSD and another 15hp for '04. The Stage 1 HP mod is about $400 installed from MOPAR (bigger injectors and a remapped ECU to make use of them) but the diff is a fortune at $1400. Made by Quaiffe and really would be nice to have, but I can't justify the money right now. Planning on the Stage 1 and a new intake and pressure pipe for now, and eagerly awaiting the Stage 3 (bigger turbo and a few things that will allow the engine to take advantage of it).

about 160mph on the causeway in B town... no idea how but it was in an LTD. he had done a lot of work to that engine... my life flashed before my eyes, and i'm not joking that was some scary shit. i have no idea how it went that fast... i remember at the time it didn't even have an exhaust system on it. we used to do donuts on dry pavement... the smoke was so intense from burning rubber i remember almost passing out one time

kudos, i didnt know that. i was more talking open wheel formula racers though. pardon the vagueness. but still thats impressive //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/handclap.gif.0c301076f534e244f0460706894f19e0.gif
So was I, the open wheel formulas in the IRL were run with the 4.0 V8.

And it's still a neon. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/rotflol.gif.b453361716769b8110ddefc85ff03cd2.gif

I know it doesn't matter now, but as far as DSMs, the crankwalk issue was in the 2g's. I don't know of any 1g that had problems with it. I have a 2g, and it was manufactured before the problem came up, so I have no worries about it =)

Yep. So is a PT Cruiser. Whoopty-do. At least its not a Civic.

It's funny that everyone who says "it's just a Neon" has probably never even driven one (an SRT-4 or even a Neon for that matter). I dated a girl who had a Neon (older gen 1) and that car was a blast to drive, especially for a little cheap econobox. That the critics have to say that the SRT is "no STi" is hilarious. It was made to compete with Civics and RSX's but they are not competitive with it so you have to go to a whole new class and price range to find competition. I first saw one at Sturgis in the SRT booth sitting between the SRT-10 and the SRT-10 Ram. For the money it's a great little car. I didn't buy it because of what other people think. I bought it for me. I like driving it. The only problem I have with it is the giant wing that comes on it. I am looking for a deck lip type spoiler from another silver Neon to replace it with so it looks like a basic Neon to the uninitiated. I don't like the attention that the wing draws. I would prefer the punk kids stay the he ll away from my car while it is in the parking lot.

Anyway, different strokes for different folks.

I really like the looks of the '05 Mustang. Too bad it's a Ford.

I respect the new neons, but it's still a neon. Just not my kind of car.

The only top speed I can prove is 144 in a 55. I-285 in Atlanta. Got the ticket to prove it. Stock 1995 Impala SS in case you wanted to know. Now, with out proof, I have been clocked at 153 in the same car....modified suspension, PCM, brakes, exhaust and air intake.... at Road Atlanta.
