If they could only duplicate that speed in fullsize electric cars. Amazaing how times change. I remember when I was around 13 a book said based on drag and laws of physics there was a limitation on how fast you could go with electric boats. Don't remember the exact mph but it definitely was under 40 mph. This was based off of the electric motor and battery technology at the time. The advancements made in battery and motor technology have allowed modern boats to prove the statement false.

had an rsx with 4wd, locked rear diff and full ball bearing kit. ultimate drifter. upped it to a six cell (instead of stock 4) nimH battery set, with a hpi micro elite motor. that shit went so fast it was literally a blur. but i blew the electronics //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif
