False floor in a truck?

So behind the seat i'll be doing a false floor to store all of my batteries. I've seen a couple of other builds but i'm still not sure what they were getting at and why they built it that way.

I saw one (deuce's build) that had like a big metal perimeter of where the box was going to sit. So did he just make that to drop the box on top of and bolt it down from there?

Any other suggestions on how to do this?

So, that plus, deuce built his as a dual offender. Battery tray/frame to bolt the box onto. actually what he did is better than just a couple pieces of 2x4 cut down i usualy see used.
