Faceplate scratch removal?

I've heard of people using stuff before to get hairlines off there faceplates. Anyone know of anything or have any information on this?

If the scratches aren't too bad they will "come out" with regular automotive polishes and waxes. Using a coat or two of carnauba wax on top of the plastic will also leave it more slick and more resistant to future scratches. Also makes fingerprints, etc. easier to clean off. For more severe scratches, try the products mentioned above by others.

Sounds weird but I wax the plastic display windows on most of the electronics I have (MP3/MD players, cell phones, car stereo faceplates, remote controls, etc.) from the time they are brand new. Some LCDs you can protect with those plastic films but many others it's either not practical or possible, so wax has always served me well.

Novus Plastic Polish #2, have used it a couple of times to get light scratches off my 7998 display. Works fabulous.
