Faceplate scratch removal?

Do these kinds of products work all that great? I have heard of people using things like these and it just makes thier stuff blurry. Maybe they didn't apply it right or something, i dunno.
I'll find out soon I'm gonna grab some and try it on a crap headunit I got in the garage.

Get some stuff called plastx by meguiars.........

If the scratches aren't too bad they will "come out" with regular automotive polishes and waxes. Using a coat or two of carnauba wax on top of the plastic will also leave it more slick and more resistant to future scratches. Also makes fingerprints, etc. easier to clean off. For more severe scratches, try the products mentioned above by others.

Sounds weird but I wax the plastic display windows on most of the electronics I have (MP3/MD players, cell phones, car stereo faceplates, remote controls, etc.) from the time they are brand new. Some LCDs you can protect with those plastic films but many others it's either not practical or possible, so wax has always served me well.
