F*uck U Comcast

I absolutely hate comcast. the first two installs they completly blew me off, I *****ed so much I got enough 30 dollar credits to cover the first bill plus some. its reliable, hasn't every quit in the 2+ years I've used it. they're modem quit working so I smashed it with a hammer and broght a box of plastic pieces and computer boards in expecting to be charged for it but they quit charging me the 4 bucks a month for the router, lol. After the triple play price jack up I ditched the cable and phone and just used the internet to download all the shows I used to have to pay to watch so Fu** em. They shut my internet off for excessive bandwith usage which is bullsh*t, what is this AOL pay by the hour type of sh*t? it said unlimited so again Fu** em I bs'ed them by saying I had a unsecured wifi network that my neighbors must have been downloading off my connection. anyone remember the story of the 60 yr old lady that went nuts in the comcast office, breaking monitors with a hammer. suprised it doesn't happen daily

Maybe I should just have them split my ****ing check in 2. Half to BP and the other half to the ****ing cable company.
amen. Luckily I live in the boondocks so my cable bill for extended basic is 28 bucks, but i only have one option for internet //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif Frontier DSL ftl

My comcast fades in and out all the **** time. My signal strength is terrible after having atleast 4 technicians come to my house.

And what makes things wilder is the fact that I can only put the modem in one room of the house because the signal strength is too low everywhere else.

Mine was the same up north, paying $150 a month for HD and internet. So I called one day and told them the bill was too much and what could they do. I got the 12 month for $99 deal.

Just call and ask nicely if they can work with you as most of the time they will vs losing a customer.

Im right with you though bro, I have to call comcast weekly to get credits on my account because their high def pictures come through all pixalated and the sound is really choppy. Now they refuse to give credits and technicians have to come out each time (like that going to help a thing) their problem is their over-compression techniques and lack of piping for their network but thats another story. I really do just want to go to every comcast store and just do the "**** it" sign to them for hours upon hours.

Charter > Comcast.

I have Charter at home and at school, not a single problem either place and their 5 meg service is awesome, and we may be upgrading to the 10 meg.

I have Comcast also, ****ers raise the bill a little a few times a year. There is no one else around except dish so I stick it out with them though lately I have considered dropping to a cheaper cable connection and dropping TV totally and just seeing what I can pick up on an HDTV antenna.

I also looked into switching to the dish a few months ago as it used to be a lot cheaper and it was within 15 dollars of comcast for Verizon DSL and DirectTV about $120/mo with 1 HDDVR and no premium channels.

WTF....why in the **** do I gotta pay $150 a month to watch TV and browse the web?
If you can offer the $99 triple play for 12 ****ing months why can't you just keep it like that?

Why the **** can't I get it for $99 in a new install? Because I was a ****ing customer 2 years ago!

They have me by the ****ing balls, everything else is shit. DirectTV w/ HD is $90 a ****ing month.

Can't get FIOS here and AT&T DSL only works 4 days out of 7.

****, shit is worse than gas prices!

Not going to read 3 pages on this but the answer is very simple. Call and tell them you want to cancel. They will then offer a counter deal. Ignore the counter deal and tell them that you have found a better deal from company X. They will then counter deal and you will be happy.

Just be nice to the person on the phone but don't give in.

here in green bay time warner is the best and fastest service

i get about 6.4mbs/480kbps and i havent had a problem for over a year

i am moving next week and have to switch to some other crap dsl company and pay the same amount for 1/5 the speed:(

Time warner = Comcast

Well, RCN is a no go; just got off the phone with them.

I still have 2 months on my DirectTV contract, so I have to stick with them until October.

ATT is supposed to be out this morning(45 minutes left...) to check out my DSL problems.

If they can't fix it or it's still glorified dial-up, I'll just fork over the $67 a month until my DTV is up.

Comcast said they couldn't give me the promotional price at all. Everything + HD excluding premiums is about $120+ w/ internet. I'll probably go this route unless ATT can get my DSL up to par.

I have had 0 issues with DTV, to tell you the truth, their great. It's just the price + internet is killing me. If the ATT tech can work some magic, that puts me at $130 out the door for everything.

I guess my main rant is price. It doesn't matter who or what you have, the prices are insane for a little TV and internet.
