I have ATT DSL with no problems at all. Between that and Dish network with 4tvs, HBO, Cinemax, and Showtime, it's about $125 total per month. If I ever get around to wiring up the phone lines, it'll cut the dish bill down another $10/month

I'm at $77 and change for the package without premiums and an extra $10 for HD.

ATT is $15 for the stripped phone line and $25 for the DSL..... currently working at 345kbps down and 220kbps up.

I just dropped comcast again where I was paying $67 for internet only.

I've got comcast, i have the cable and internet combo, after tax its like right at $90 a month total. no house phone tho, my g/f and I just have cell phones, just no use for one. We dont have any special HBO or Skinemax channels or anything, but we get about 200 channels.

I feel your pain man, I think mine is 85 for dvr and 65 for the internet.
Comcast does have the fastest internet, but I have ATT at work and for 30 a month its not that bad.

Comcast has cable internet, and "everyone" uses their internet.

it's going to be so bogged down, especially in a city like Chicago. You'd be much better off with DSL.

OK, I know it's cheap for everyone. That's one of the things that pisses me off.

Same internet everywhere outside of Chicago and northern IL is $39.99 to my $67.

Our Dish bill is about $100/month. That's 4 tvs, DVR, $30/month in movie channels, plus an extra $10/month for not having the recievers hooked up to phone lines.

Also, if you call ATT, you don't have to have phone service for DSL. It costs like $3/month extra, but all you need is to have a phone line physically intact. That is how we have it, and I believe we're running the 1.5meg service for $25/month

We had 19 technicians to our house in a 6 month period about 18 months ago because the service would either go out or be so slow that you couldn't even load google. I started taping notes and shit on the things they'd always "fix" such as I started putting post-its under the router with shit like "sorry, this is the 9th router we've had; this isn't hte problem"

have you actually talked to ATT about it? I know the website shows you need basic phone service, but I learned differently when I actually called in.

I hate Cox Communications in Arizona. These idiots didn't send me a bill for over 5 months even though I kept asking to be mailed on then they dropped a bill on me for 600.00 plus a late fee. I was pissed to say the least but I paid it all off even the late fee, they wouldn't budge on it even though I threaten to pay them a visit.

I'm with charter and they're kinda like comcast. When i first got service with them during fall semester of 07, cable (70 something channels) and internet (10 meg.) was like 66.xx a month after tax. Since its been 12 months and the promotion is up, i'm pay 130.xx a month for cable (a lot of channels including hbo, showtime, cinemax, and all of that bs) and same internet. So basicly i had to upgrade my cable to keep the special on the internet which is bad at all.
